No one I know uses Facebook or MySpace. Maybe that’s because I only know business oriented people or young guyals who stick to highly focussed forums and groups.

Facebook and MySpace have always been TTGTFF - a “Thanksgiving Turkey Get Together with Friends and Family” place. (You know… you drop in, share polite hugs and kisses, chit chat, eat tasty treats and wish you were surfing at the beach or playing Half Life 2.)

Or, Facebook is where you find compromising pics of silly drunken friends. (And latest dating disasters) Or Aunt Milly’s new recipe for Cucumber Pudding. Yummm! : )

But… they SAY Facebook has 200 million million or so, a marketing prospector’s dream.

So… wouldn’t it stand to reason that joining up would be good for business?

Not to me. Reason: the moment Aunt Kitty tries to sell me her Shaklee or some old school bud sends me an affiliate link, I’m gone. Nothing personal.

It’s just doesn’t sit well to be marketed to at my Thanksgiving table.

So, if I don’t want to be sold to on Facebook, I’m figuring you wouldn’ either.

Perhaps I’m totally wrong…

My good friend said “Nothing’s wrong unless you get caught.”

Now, he wouldn’t do anything wrong HIMSELF. He’s a goody two shoes.

BUT… he raises an interesting point that has been PROVEN CORRECT to me today.

Dr. Mercola reports that:

The New York Times discovered that Genentech (big biotech company) was telling top Congresspeople from BOTH parties what to say and write (as their own words) into the Congressional Record to help Genentech.

No debate. No questions. No appraisals of whether the laws were good or bad for the country. Just pure control of the Congresspeople for money.

So what did a Genentech lobbyist say about all this?

They said, It isn’t nefarious. It happens all the time..”

Nice one, lobbyist. Why do you make me sick?

Congresspeople are NOT your represenatives. They belong to Genentech and other companies with MONEY.

BUSINESS LESSON: Get a LOT of money. Then, do whatever you want to whomever you want. Just be sure to have a law degree and friends in high places. Then, you can own the world. If there is a world left to own.

There is this addictive component of Wordpress Theme development and creation. You experience creation ”elation.” After all, you are… an “artiste.” Artistes live for the agony and the ecstasy.

So, like all good addict artistes, you keep perfecting your art. You scrunch along pixel by pixel, css property by php value. The work is NEVER done.

FINALLY, you finish. Every semi colon properly placed, every dot precisely spaced. But then, while perusing the Web, you are once again thunderstruck with new possibilities and yeah. Off you go to Creation Elation Land once AGAIN.
