These last few days have been an emotional roller coaster. Life has smacked me upside the head and cuffed my ears to cauliflower.
Obligingly, I took a tumble Past Despondent to Beyond Despair. You know… that place where color disappears and everything is black and blacker?
Naturally, it was a perfect time to fall in love. NOT.
But lo and behold, like a young teen runnng away on a bus to nowhere, I bespied two men… One was a squirelly, shiftless unshaven rook with a cigarette dangling from his sneering lips, while the other was former homeless fellow who was willing to give me the world for a dollar.
Let me skip to the chase. I pulled out my symbolic last dollar, handed it over to man 2, and the rest in history. He was a Saint, not a Sinner.
I’m going to share his video. Perhaps you’re going to think I might be hustling. AND… You’re RIGHT. AND WRONG.
I’m hustling because I’ve decided to use this man for my own gain. I’m NOT hustling because you won’t have to give me one click or credit if you don’t want to.
But, the most important thing is, NO ONE has ever, on this Internet, affected me the way this guy did. And I’ve seen plenty.
Maybe it’s because he was once a homeless bum who then went ahead and got shot. That just warms my heart. Maybe it’s because he’s a frickin’ genius who understands Internet commerce like a bat knows cave.
Maybe it’s because he’s a powerhouse of intent and a storehouse of experiences from the depths to the heights.
Whatever… he’s my man. And so far, for that 1 measly dollar, I’ve received a sense of new purpose and direction.
This man gets to the core. The nitteh gritteh. This man courts NO nonsense.
(To be honest, the selfish part of me wanted to share NOTHING so there would be less competition on the Internet. But the wise part of me understands that the more you give, the more you… give. : )
