Why do I like this so much? Maybe because I love the symmetry and certainty of Math. It’s a sort of lovely version of perfection that was embellished by the hand of man via symbology.

But I love it MORE because it’s such a clever way to turn something intriguing and fun into a little life lesson on success and achievement.

Hopefully you’ve watched it so that I can safely reveal details here without taking away the full brunt of it…

Attitude is an interesting thing that I always neglect to consider. Attitude Schmatitude. What… you think positive and everything you want comes to pass? Your dreams come true? If so then every positive person would be a trillionaire. And they ain’t.

And that is what I thought…

But… upon reflection, attitude is a “bring-along.” It cajoles you, teases you along, while others around you are infected by YOUR attitude. They unconsciously help you. Attitude helps bring you along.

I figure it’s kind of like this. I’ve got knowledge. (Shut up peanut gallery) I do Hard Work. But my attitude sucks. Do you think that might be why I’m not a trillionaire?

I do. You see… long ago, when I believed I could do something and I refused to give up, I got it done even though EVERYBODY SAID “You won’t ever be able to do that.”

To THIS DAY they are nonplussed as to how I did it.

It was NO MIRACLE. It was simply that I BELIEVED. And in so believing, I didn’t give up. I figured this:

“If Joe Blow can do this and he’s a blithering idiot, then I can, too. I’m the same sort of blithering idiot.” (Never you mind about my self-effacement… the whole world consists of blithering idiots, another story)

And THAT, my friends, was all it took.

When you KNOW and BELIEVE you can do it, that the only thing stopping you is just a bit of hard work, then it’s just, plain, EASIER to do.

Belief is the Oil of Achievement. Attitude is Latitude.

Attitude helps you up, gets you over, smooths the tarmac right over the potholes.

I think we have to have a MOMENT that this realization clunks us on the head. BOP. So that’s why I recommend the 10 day thing.

Even if we KNOW something, that doesn’t mean we KNOW it past the gills. It needs to be digested, then absorbed.

10 days. Let’s see what happens.
