How to Steer Clear of Online Money Scams
Google just posted this information regarding online SCAMS.
Quote: “In general, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.” Maybe this is stuff you already know. Always good to get a refresher course. Good hints below how to deal.
Things You Can Do
- Do a Web Search on the company or individuals.
- Be aware of any upfront fees on services Google offers for free.
- Check the FINE PRINT for hidden reocurring charges.
- Ripped off? Suspicious behaviors? Report site file complaint here.
- Do a Google spam report.
- Suspicious link offers for your site? Use this Google form paid link report form. Be VERY careful about accepting outside links
and "fake offers" on your site. - Have a website? Be aware of Fake Comments – steps to fight comment spam. Also watch out for fake user profiles to get their comments surruptitiously on your pages.
- Phishing is a big danger. These scams try to collect your personal information with fake phishing attempts and sites. Please report to phishing@google.com.

I have looked at a lot of so called systems that appear “too good to be true” and then I remember two things that my dad would say: “If it sounds too good to be true, then It’s probably “NOT” true”! “You won’t get something for nothing”! So, when I see these advertisements, I consider what he always said.
In my opinion, the only way to make an honest dollar on the internet is to sell a needed product. This is why I created my own website, to sell valuable informational cds. There are no scams connected to my site, you simply purchase products that will help to improve your life and that’s it! On one of these cds there are sixteen different e-books, some of which tell how to make money. If you are interested, checkout my website http://pbmlwebster.tripod.com/

Good luck, Phil, and I agree with you regarding getting something for nothing and things that seem too good to be true.
The confusing thing is when very lucky things happen and people win the lottery. It always seems too good to be true!
