Watch the stars rotate above the clouds in this gorgeous panorama of the stunning sky as it moves across the horizon throughout the night. Now you will be able to see how the Earth moves in concert with the stars.
Be sure not to miss a glorious moonbeam as it flashes and dances over the beautiful lake. And then catch a glimpse of a huge and radiant rainbow as it glows for mere seconds and flickers away like a dream. Absolutely stunning vision of the heavens.

New endless possibilities… Growing new body parts is becoming a reality. One man grew a new esophagus lining, another man grew new muscle tissue. Ears, fingers, bladders, livers, kidneys, hearts, heart valves, more.
Morley Safer interviews several doctors, one whose name is Dr. Badylak, pronounced “Battleax.” Among other things, Dr. Badylak’s team has found that extracellular matrix (ECM) can help create a biologic scaffold for tissue repair and regeneration.

Medicine’s Cutting Edge: Re-Growing Organs
This new “car” has an onboard hydrogen fuel plant. It puts out enough electricity to power your home. And power half your street to boot.
In goes salt water, out comes plain water. Is there a downside? Doesn’t seem to be. Of course, they wouldn’t want to reveal that at this point. This “transport” vehicle, the GM Hy-wire, also dubbed “Vectra,” is A-mazing.
More from GM and Automotoportal.com
This car is not available for purchase; there’s only one in the entire world. And, the price value is somewhere around $10 million dollars. The research costs would probably make it a billion.
It’s completely non-polluting. What about the manufacturing? Would that be excessively polluting? It has no batteries, therefore no lead, no cadmium, ?. So, what is the “power plant” made of?
It’s computerized. Would that mean a reboot whilst on the freeway? Asphalt screen of death…
Doubtful that Microsoft is involved. And by the design look, Apple isn’t either.
Really this is a rather phenomenal futuristic car. You could use it to power your life, your neighbor’s life, and even your street life.
Sell the extra power back to the grid. I have huge doubts at this point. But, GM has captured the imagination, that’s for sure.
Notes:
It’s supposedly the car of the future.
“…Probably the most advanced power system in the world: a completely non polluting fuel cell that takes hydrogen and produces electricity with the only by-product being a little bit of water vapour.
As if that wasn’t enough, all the controls are “by-wire” with no physical linkages from accelerator, brake or even steering wheel. That means the driver can press a button to change from right hand drive to left hand drive…
Performance

Stats Information from automotoportal.com.
They call it the Hy-Wire mainly because it’s drive train consists of a smallish computer cable. Very strange.
GM might be really on to something. It’s hard to believe it’s completely non-polluting. Hydrogen is difficult to produce. It will be fascinating to discover all the little details.
Really, this is quite stunning. The possibilities boggle the mind.
CNN has an interesting article by a British fellow CNN Link HERE (http:// www.cnn.com /2009/TECH/06/26 /michael.jackson.internet/)
The article goes into detail about how the Internet practically crashed as the news of Michael Jackson’s passing traversed the globe via Social Networkers. Which is to be expected upon such an event, no doubt… The writer also mentioned how things come in threes but perhaps not (always wondered about that), and how false Internet rumors can spread like wildfire.
An aside: TMZ first broke the story of Michael Jackson’s passing (sad sad sad, love him) and the major news organizations and websites missed the cues waiting for “official” word. TMZ may become “Official Word.” TMZ is a major example of all that’s done right to collect and control the spread of information. Do they even use social networking? In their case, they just have a super-being team of go getters first to get the lead and story. Totally CONTENT DRIVEN. Right? Anyway…
This article was expressing how the new News dynamic runs high octane on the Web. How one monumental story can bring everything crashing down to a mere crawl. And, in my eyes, how the Internet and Social Networking are basically becoming the new communique “mail, television and telephone” of choice.
The world turns, the world changes… we adapt. Yes, so it is, but we all sort of knew that, right? I mean, if you’re not online, you’re missing out on… what? Business?
Oh yes, lots of business it’s true. And, we ALL want to share pictures and talk to our friends, keeping in touch. The Internet just makes it very easy and convenient, push button, and instantaneous.
What’s not to love?
Now, as the marketers turn to social networking as the Hawking Modality of Choice, what will happen with their efforts?
Every time they try to monetize, capitalize and profit from the huge numbers of networkers they hit a few little roadblocks.
Undoubtedly marketers are VERY very smart. They will overcome. I think.
Meanwhile, am seeking solace and aloneness and non-tech. Like growing a plant or something!

Evidently the iPhone acts as a base station when it’s between any other users and a cell tower, even when it’s off, exposing users to high levels of radiation.
The good news is that, when the iPhone is is “FLIGHT MODE,” it does stop transmitting and receiving.
Dr. Mercola is an Medical Doctor and a certified physician. He is selling Blue Tube headsets, but I have used Tube Headsets from the very beginning and consider them a valuable accessory. They have a hollow blue tube so there’s no direct continuous wire from phone to head.
These sets are available all over the Internet, not just from Dr. Mercola. However, his do seem to be of high quality.

About “Big Dog”
He’s been called a “Tank Mule,” which sounds appropriate considering what he looks like. Big Dog was developed by Boston Dynamics with a 10 million dollar grant from DARPA. So, Big Dog will be designed to be a war toy. Or, War Robot.
Big Dog Info
“BigDog is the alpha male of the Boston Dynamics robots. It is a rough-terrain robot that walks, runs, climbs and carries heavy loads. BigDog is powered by an engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system. BigDog has four legs that are articulated like an animal’s, with compliant elements to absorb shock and recycle energy from one step to the next. BigDog is the size of a large dog or small mule; about 3 feet long, 2.5 feet tall and weighs 240 lbs…
In separate tests BigDog runs at 4 mph, climbs slopes up to 35 degrees, walks across rubble, climbs a muddy hiking trail, walks in snow and water, and carries a 340 lb load. BigDog set a world’s record for legged vehicles by traveling 12.8 miles without stopping or refueling…
The ultimate goal for BigDog is to develop a robot that can go anywhere people and animals can go. The program is funded by the Tactical Technology Office at DARPA.”

Once you start playing the Sims, who needs real life?
Or if you play role-playing games, who wants to return to the mundane, uninteresting, “Real 3D” world?
The virtual world seduces in a huge way.
Do you think you can, will leave it, and go interract with real people instead?
There is a ever increasing group of talented “young people” and “not so young people” who spend most of their free time online. Additionally, they are turning to the Web for means of income.
This is a fairly new phenomenon, but probably one that’s here to stay, at least while everyone has electricity and the grid keeps performing.
What does this mean for our society?
Well, what it probably means is that society will change and adapt, as it always has. Of course let us not forget that societies do fade and disappear…
Nevertheless, right or wrong, good or bad, old habits die and new habits are born.
It looks like the future generations may decide to live without much, or even any, actual human physical contact. Perhaps they will find comfort in having pets. And order pizza online.
Of course, in order to procreate, they may have to marry an “actual person.” Will they? Does one want to have little ones scurrying about touching the sanctitious reverential electronic equipment?
If people do decide to marry, will they then tire of the Internet and join the physical world rather than live in their “virtual” one? Will their children be onliners or choose the real world, opposite of their parents?
People do crave human contact. But more and more we seem to grow more distant from one another when we are in public places. Even parties.
We avoid looking at each other, we avoid physcial contact, we idly say polite phrases to one another signifying nothing, and we seldom if ever actually engage in meaningful conversation.
Do you know your next door neighbors? Do you interact on a daily basis?
How often do you see your family members? Are you all spread over the country or world, hardly recalling what one another looks like?
What about your children or parents? Do you sit down together, talk together, take walk together and really connect with one another?
If you do, you are an ever decreasing minority.
The world changes… we adapt.
Could it be that one day, we could have our “robots,” and that actual human to human interaction becomes a novelty rather than the standard?
“Wow! A real live person! How interesting! What will I say, what will I do?”
Science fiction has delved into this subject quite often and predicts bigger index fingers, bluish, greyish countenances and permanent couch potato flaccid bellies and rears.
But other writers say that we will tire of our online communities and reenter the “actual 3D” world.
But the online world of friendship, communication, game and role playing is mesmerizingly addictive.
Furthermore, it is BETTER than the real world. It is more romantic, more beautiful, more controllable, more imaginative, fancier, darker, lighter, more idealistic than the real world.
Those immersed in said worlds may never have the will to leave them.
Pull the plug and they will be lost. But, consider this… the human is most related to the cockroach, rat and pig. We are highly adaptable.
So, perhaps we have nothing to worry about! : )
